I need an expert in Adobe Acrobat Pro, particularly with respect to font recognition and embedding.

Job ID: 35113213

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

I'm experiencing three problems with my Adobe Acrobat Pro program:

1) It doesn't recognize my preferred font (Adobe Caslon Pro). When I save a Word document that's written in Caslon as a PDF, the PDF automatically converts the font to a different font style (e.g. Times New Roman, Minion Pro, etc.).

2) Many of my PDF's can't be edited. When I click on "Edit PDF," the text on the page becomes divided up into dozens of text boxes. Some of these boxes contain only one word. In other cases, the text boxes may contain only one letter! If I click on one of these text boxes, the program won't allow me to highlight the text or edit it in any way. Indeed, the font controls in the upper right-hand area of the screen become grayed-out and can't be used.

3) Caslon (Adobe Caslon Pro) won't embed in my PDF files. (I check this by clicking on File, then Properties, then Fonts).

To make sure that the problem isn't in my operating system (Windows 11 Pro), I purchased and re-installed the family of Caslon fonts. This did not solve any of the problems identified above.

I need an expert in Adobe Acrobat Pro, preferably someone who is patient with non-tech people like myself. Communication can be via email, but it may be more efficient to speak by telephone and perhaps even schedule a LogMeIn session.

Thank you,

Steve
