convert handwritten diary to a word document

10 volumes (~12 years) of legible handwritten diary, needs to be made into a correctly typed document in Microsoft Word. The number of words is difficult to count, but may total 500,000. The diary is a private, confidential, non-scandalous account of a period in the life of a Marin housewife, from 1972 to about 1983. It will not be published, and is not part of a commercial venture. The typist should examine the ms. to estimate the likely cost of typing one volume. Depending on cost, time required, and quality of the first volume's Word file, remaining volumes will follow. I will need to meet the typist in person, so she/he should be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
