Pre- and Post-Translation Textbook Prep Work - 357

Help us prepare our textbooks for translation!. This project has two phases -- pre-translation prep, and post-translation blending.
Pre-translation prep involves making modifications to 4 lengthy (200-300 pages each) Word documents in English following our detailed checklist. Estimated effort for this phase is 40 hours.
Once translated into Chinese, another set of modifications need to be made, this time both in Word documents and in PDFs of those documents. Modifications primarily involve inserting elements from other files into the appropriate places within the Word and PDF documents, ensuring formatting of headers / footers / page numbers is consistent throughout and across final PDFs, and updating table of contents to reflect page numbers for inserted pages. Estimated effort for this phase is 160 hours.
Ability to read Chinese characters is NOT necessary -- but careful focus, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are critical. Proficiency with Word and Adobe Acrobat required.
