Microsoft Word Dissertation Formatting
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Below are the required formatting changes I need done to my word document.
Title Page
• Change November 2021 to August 2022
Abstract Page
• Change June 2022 to August 2022
Table of Contents
• Remove italics from headings and page numbers.
• Ensure all fonts are the same size, style, etc.
o For example, Manuscript two’s page number is a different font and style than the others. Make sure all are the same- no italics.
o “Style and size of type should be consistent throughout the dissertation/thesis. Exceptions may be made for material such as tables reproduced from some other medium, oversized tables or figures, and for material in the appendix, but all material must be legible and conform to margin requirements.” – see p. 9 of formatting guidelines
• Your page number “iv” and “v” intrudes into the bottom 1” margin- fix.
Body (see margin requirements on p. 9-10 of formatting guidelines)
• Your introduction heading needs to be below the top 2” margin- please fix.
• All page numbers are intruding into the bottom 1” margin- fix entire dissertation.
• Manuscript one heading needs to be below the top 2” margin- please fix.
• Figure 3 on p. 54 intrudes into the right 1” margin- fix.
• Manuscript two heading needs to be below the top 2” margin- please fix.
• Figure 4 on p. 113 intrudes into the right 1” margin-fix.
References
• Your reference pages intrude into the left 1.5”- fix all.
Quotations
• “Single-space long, blocked quotations from formally cited sources in your bibliography/works cited section. A quotation that would continue for more than three lines of your typed text is considered “long” and should be blocked and single-spaced.” (p. 10 of formatting guidelines). The quotations I listed below are shorter than three sentences.
o Remove single-space and blowing of quotations on these pages:
p. 16 with (Davis, 2015).
First blocked quotation on p. 38
P. 66 with (Parris, 2021)
• The participant quotes on p. 92-99 need to be double-spaced but still blocked.
o “Interview quotations and sources not formally cited in your bibliography/works cited section should be double-spaced regardless of their length.” (p. 11 of formatting guidelines)
I also have a PDF formatting guide and a template. I have been trying to complete this on my own and cannot seem to do it. I need support in completing these edits as soon as possible.
