Re-Format a word document - make a user friendly Proposal Template

I have a Proposal document in Word that is driving me nuts - I can not seem to delete blank pages, and the back cover page (in grey) is always linking to one of our websites when I press on it to edit it and does not automatically stay at the back of the document.
I am also trying to insert a 2D layout (PDF) that will not rotate left or right.
I do not want any content changed, but I need a word document in an easy and friendly format that I can change when required and will increase and decrease page numbers based on the content I am adding.
