PDF Conversion & Figure Extraction
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a complete manuscript in PDF that must be turned into a clean Word draft. Please mirror the text exactly, but apply these house specs as you work: Times New Roman, 12 pt, single spacing, a blank line between paragraphs, and absolutely no indents. Citations follow Chicago Author-Date; if the source material uses any footnotes, move them to endnotes.
Every figure needs to be lifted from the PDF and saved as a standalone JPG (300 dpi, 1 350 px wide). Rename each file with the pattern “Figure_1”, “Figure_2”, and so on. In the Word file, leave a tagged marker in angle brackets—e.g. <FIGURE 1 HERE>—exactly where the image belongs. I will forward additional layout guidelines for those tags once the project starts.
For accessibility, generate thoughtful alt text that accurately describes the visible content. Log each figure in an Artwork Log that includes filename, caption, alt text, and a short note confirming permission status.
Deliverables:
• Word document fully formatted to spec with placeholders in place
• Folder of correctly named JPGs at the stated resolution
• Completed Artwork Log (CSV, XLSX, or Word table—whichever is easiest)
That’s the entire scope; let me know your turnaround time and any questions before we begin.
