MSc Thesis Word Formatting

Job ID: 40630595

Budget: $10 – $30 CAD

I have already drafted the preliminary pages, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2 of my MSc thesis and now need them merged into a single, cleanly structured Word file that matches every detail of the University of Alberta formatting guide. All heading and sub-heading styles must follow the university’s standard styles exactly; no custom tweaks or freelance flair here.

The document has to open with properly formatted preliminary pages—title page, abstract, acknowledgments, and the table of contents—before the thesis body begins. Each major part (prelims, Chapter 1, Chapter 2) must be separated by section breaks so that Roman numerals govern the front matter while Arabic numbers start at Chapter 1 without slipping out of sequence.

Inside the body, figures and equations should carry automatic, chapter-based numbering (e.g., Figure 1-2, Equation 2-4) that updates on refresh. All existing citations, figures, equations, and their chapter-specific reference lists stay exactly as written; I am not asking for proofreading or content edits.

When the core layout is locked, generate an automatic table of contents and a fully linked list of figures. Everything has to update correctly whenever I add or delete material later, so please rely on Word’s native styles and fields rather than manual typing.
