You will write a 3000 word essay which focuses on inclusive practice within a broad and balanced curriculum, highlighting the tensions between theory, policy and practice through a written response to the question: It must analyse and be critical, bringing theory and practice together.It must also be about the curriculum for England.
The question is:- "How is inclusive practice embedded within a broad and balanced curriculum?"

* Talk and discuss emedding it in a broad and balanced curriculum.
* Introduction to acknowledge this is such a broad subject umbrella, then focus on one aspect. I like social mobility and divesity,but it could be SEND.
* It is important to define inclusion and what a broad and balance curriculum is.
* Theorists to refer to are; Vygotsky, Bruner and Piaget.
* Documents to refer to are; National Curriculum 2014, SEND Code of Practice, Cambridge Primary Review and the Rose Review
* At the moment I'm thinking a section on what inclusion means, why our NC is the way it is, how I think a broad and balanced curriculum should be implemented (based on research such as the cambridge primary review and the rose review). How by delivering the lessons in that way would mean it should be inclusive (whole child, child led, etc), but why this may not be the case. The impact of literacy and numeracy on the timetable.
