WordPress/WooCommerce Website Setup for Natural Cosmetics Brand

Project Description :

We are a small family-run natural cosmetics brand based in Québec, Canada, and we’re launching our new e-commerce website, Maison Naturella.

We’ve already purchased hosting on SiteGround and a premium WordPress/WooCommerce theme (Flatsome from ThemeForest). We are looking for a talented freelancer to help us launch the website within 1 week (by July 13, 2025), before we travel for a month.

“We are currently using WordPress with the Flatsome theme, but we are open to switching to Shopify if it better supports our interactive design needs. Please let us know your recommendation.”

The theme files and initial product content are ready — we now need expert help to bring our vision to life.

Scope of Work:
• Install and configure Flatsome theme with demo content
• Customize homepage, about, contact, and shop pages
• Add 3–5 initial products (we’ll provide text and images)
• Configure WooCommerce settings:
• TPS/TVQ (Québec tax)
• Shipping for Canada
• Currency, checkout, cart, and order flow
• Set up Stripe and/or PayPal integration
• Apply brand colors, fonts, logo
• Optimize for mobile and responsiveness
• Set up newsletter/email form (MailPoet or similar)
• Provide a light walkthrough or documentation

Creative Concept (Important):

Our brand is built around nature, storytelling, and immersive customer experience.

We have a few creative features we want to implement:
• Landing Page Animation:
• A central wooden or mystical door image
• When clicked, the door opens with an animation and sound effect (gentle chime/nature sound)
• It transitions to the shop’s main page
• Shop Page Interaction:
• Products have a visible + / – quantity selector
• Users can add products directly to cart without opening the product page
• Optionally, clicking on a product opens a detailed page with:
• History of the product
• How it’s made
• Soft background sound effects or nature ambiance
• Special Animation Effect (Optional):
• A shimmer or glitter animation when a product is added to the cart

We would love someone who can:
• Implement this vision using Flatsome UX Builder + custom CSS/JS
• Or recommend if Shopify or another platform would better support these effects

What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, and Flatsome
• Strong front-end skills (UX animation, JS, CSS)
• Understanding of e-commerce best practices (especially in Canada)
• Creative eye and attention to branding
• Ability to start immediately and deliver before July 13

• We prefer freelancers who are clear, responsive, and can work independently
