WordPress Speed & UX Optimization

Job ID: 39898386

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

We want to take our Divi-based WooCommerce site from “works fine” to “lightning-fast, modern, and conversion-driven.” The goal is measurable performance improvements, smarter SEO and AI-search optimisation, and layout upgrades that lift conversions. The site already uses WP Rocket and PerfMatters, so part of the role will be determining which combination works best and fine-tuning settings for maximum efficiency. The project includes optimising images for web (size, format, compression), stripping out unnecessary plugins, improving mobile and desktop speed, and ensuring the WooCommerce shop continues running smoothly after the clean-up. We also want layout changes that make the site feel more modern and effective at converting visitors into leads — especially around the “Book a Free Trial” and checkout areas. You’ll also review several competitor martial arts websites (links provided) to identify what layout and UX strategies help them convert, and apply those insights to improve our own site.

Key tasks include:
• Assessing and fine-tuning existing performance plugins (WP Rocket, PerfMatters).
• Compressing and resizing images for speed and responsiveness.
• Removing redundant plugins and streamlining WooCommerce functionality.
• Reviewing competitor websites for layout and UX ideas that improve conversions.
• Making targeted layout, speed, and UX updates to improve desktop and mobile performance. E.g., reduce menu options to improve conversions
• Enhancing SEO fundamentals — meta tags, schema markup, and content structure — to improve both traditional and AI-driven search visibility.

Work will be carried out on a staging site.
