WordPress E-Commerce grocery Store Setup

I’m launching an online grocery store on WordPress and want it ready for real customers from day one. The goal is a clean, fast storefront that handles a full product catalogue with cart, secure checkout, and customer reviews/ratings.

Theme & design
I haven’t chosen a theme yet, so I’d like your recommendations. A lightweight, mobile-friendly theme that pairs smoothly with WooCommerce is ideal, though I’m open to a custom child theme if that delivers better performance and flexibility.

Core build tasks
• Install and configure WordPress, the recommended theme, and WooCommerce (or comparable plugin).
• Create sample categories, attributes, and products so I can see everything in context.
• Integrate at least one major payment gateway (Stripe or PayPal preferred) and test end-to-end checkout in sandbox mode.
• Enable and style product reviews/ratings, adding basic anti-spam protection.
• Apply responsive styling, on-brand colours/fonts, and optimise for speed (caching, image compression, minification).
• Set up essential SEO basics: clean permalinks, meta tags, and XML sitemap.
• Provide a concise hand-off guide so I can manage inventory, orders, and content without extra help.

Acceptance criteria
1. Store passes Google Mobile-Friendly test.
2. Sandbox transactions complete without errors.
3. Reviews submit and display correctly.
4. PageSpeed Insights scores 85+ on desktop and 70+ on mobile.
