I’m launching an online shop for physical products and need a WordPress site that feels fast, modern, and secure from day one. WooCommerce (or another reliable e-commerce plug-in) should power the catalogue, checkout, and payment flow, but the standout requirement is a smooth product-review system so shoppers can rate items, write feedback, and view star averages directly on each product page.
Key goals
• Design or adapt a responsive theme that suits retail, loads quickly, and keeps the buying journey clear.
• Configure product pages, categories, coupons, tax and shipping rules so I can start adding stock without headaches.
• Build the review feature into the template—think star ratings, “verified purchase” tags, and spam protection.
• Connect standard payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal) and enable automated order emails.
• Basic on-page SEO and speed optimisation before hand-off.
Acceptance criteria
1. A live WordPress/WooCommerce site on my hosting, ready to list physical products.
2. Reviews visible on both product summary and detailed pages, with approval controls in the back-end.
3. Test transaction shows end-to-end flow from cart to “Thank you” page and confirmation email.
4. Clear hand-over notes covering how to add products, moderate reviews, and update plug-ins safely.
