We are seeking an experienced freelancer to rebuild the PDF generation process for a quote request plugin on our WooCommerce website. The plugin currently uses dompdf, which lacks full support for rendering Arabic text and right-to-left (RTL) formatting. Your task will be to replace dompdf with mPDF (or another suitable PDF library) that fully supports Arabic and RTL text. Additionally, we want to enhance the quote request process with a few additional features. Key Requirements: 1. Experience with WooCommerce and WordPress Plugin Development • Proficiency in working with WooCommerce and customizing WordPress plugins. • Ability to integrate a new PDF generation library without breaking existing functionality. 2. Proficiency in mPDF or Equivalent PDF Libraries • Replace dompdf with mPDF (or a similar PDF library) to ensure full support for Arabic language rendering and RTL text formatting. • Ensure high-quality, professional PDF output that maintains correct Arabic and RTL formatting, with proper styling and readability. 3. Custom Quote Expiry Settings • Implement a feature in the WooCommerce admin panel that allows the store administrator to set the expiry date of a quote. The default value should be 3 days, but it should be customizable. • Ensure that the expiry date is correctly applied to each quote and displayed on the frontend. 4. Modal Form Enhancements on Cart and Checkout Pages • Close Button (X): Implement a visible “X” button within the modal to allow users to easily exit the modal form if they make a mistake or decide not to proceed. • Additional Fields: Add the following required fields to the quote request form within the modal: • Last Name (Required) • Company (Optional) • Mobile Number (Required) • Ensure proper validation for these fields, including marking the “Last Name” and “Mobile Number” fields as required. Expected Deliverables: • PDF Generation: Replace the current PDF generation code with mPDF, ensuring Arabic text and RTL support. The PDF output should be professional, clean, and fully readable in Arabic. • Admin Settings for Quote Expiry: Add a configurable setting in the WooCommerce admin panel that allows the admin to specify the expiry period for quotes (defaulting to 3 days). • Modal Form Update: Update the modal form to include the new fields, ensure that the close button functions correctly, and validate the required fields. • Testing: Provide post-implementation testing support to ensure that all features work as expected, including verifying the functionality on different devices and browsers.
