WooCommerce PayPal Gateway Integration
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My WordPress site, United Global Public, doesn't run any e-commerce at the moment. But it can be activated, a plug-in, I believe.
I use PayPal for donations, but I haven't run any fundraising yet.
The scope is straightforward:
1. Discovery & Requirements
Review the existing website platform (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, custom HTML, etc).
Identify the e‑commerce plug‑in or platform (WooCommerce, Shopify Buy Button, Ecwid, BigCommerce plug‑in, etc).
Confirm product types: physical, digital, services, subscriptions.
Confirm payment methods needed (Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc).
Confirm shipping rules, tax rules, and fulfillment workflow.
Identify design requirements so the shop matches your brand.
2. Installation & Configuration
Install the chosen e‑commerce plug‑in.
Configure store settings: currency, language, tax, shipping zones.
Connect payment gateways and test them.
Set up email notifications (order confirmation, shipping updates, etc).
3. Product Setup
Create product categories.
Add products (images, descriptions, pricing, variations).
Configure inventory tracking.
Set up SKU system if needed.
4. Design & Front‑End Integration
Style product pages to match the website’s look and feel.
Integrate shop navigation into the main menu.
Customize cart and checkout pages.
Ensure mobile responsiveness.
5. Back‑End Setup
Configure order management dashboard.
Set up customer accounts or guest checkout.
Integrate analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc).
Connect CRM or email marketing tools if needed.
6. Security & Compliance
Enable SSL (HTTPS).
Ensure PCI‑compliant payment processing.
Add privacy policy, terms, and refund policy pages.
7. Testing
Test product browsing, cart, checkout, and payment.
Test shipping calculations and taxes.
Test email notifications.
Test mobile and desktop performance.
8. Launch & Handover
Deploy the store to the live site.
Provide documentation or a short training session.
Offer optional ongoing maintenance.
9. Optional Add‑Ons
Subscription or membership setup.
Multi‑vendor marketplace features.
Automated abandoned‑cart emails.
Integration with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero).
