WooCommerce Migration & Blocksy Pro Development

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

Shopify to WooCommerce (Blocksy Pro) Migration — Build to Provided Mockups

Project overview

We are migrating our existing Shopify store to WooCommerce, and need an experienced WooCommerce and Blocksy Pro developer to replicate the look, feel, and key functionality of the current store on the new platform.

Blocksy Pro licence has been purchased. The catalogue is around 32 products. We provide a detailed visual mockup and brand guidelines as the build target, so this is a design, build, and configuration job, not a guesswork job. Product data is migrated by us, so you are not responsible for content entry.

Ways of working (please read before bidding)
• All work is carried out on our staging environment, which we provide. The build must not be done on your own server or any separate environment, and nothing is moved to production until the agreed cutover window.
• The theme is Blocksy Pro. No Elementor or other page builders. The build should use the Blocksy theme and native blocks.
• Everything is built to match our mockup and brand guidelines.

Scope of work

1. Theme styling to visually match the current mock ups: colours, typography, spacing, buttons, header, footer, and mobile breakpoints.
2. Page builds using Blocksy: homepage, shop and category pages, product pages, cart, checkout, account, contact, and policy pages.
3. Product page build to our mockup, including a conditional content panel that displays per product (a tested-purity "COA" callout). Which will require a custom element to be displayed on the product page if enabled in the product admin.
4. Install and configure an email-capture popup offering a discount code for first-time subscribers. The popup must integrate cleanly with WooCommerce coupon generation and our chosen email tool.
5. Install and configure schema markup for products, including price, availability, and review schema. Rank Math or Yoast acceptable, please recommend.
6. Migrate our Judge.me reviews from Shopify to WooCommerce, preserving star ratings, review content, and product associations. We will provide the Judge.me export; you handle the import and product mapping.
7. Implement 301 redirects for every Shopify URL to its WooCommerce equivalent, covering products, collections, blog posts, and policy pages. This is non-negotiable for SEO continuity.
8. Deliver the build on our staging environment for our testing and sign-off, then support cutover to production on an agreed window.

Out of scope (handled in-house)
• Product data migration (titles, descriptions, images, SEO meta, pricing, variants, categories)
• Staging environment setup
• Shipping zones and rates configuration
• Transactional emails
• Analytics setup (GA4, Meta Pixel, Search Console)
• Google Merchant Center feed
• Existing API integrations and webhooks
• Final site testing on staging

Plugins

Plugin suggestions invited for:
• Email-capture popup with discount coupon (e.g. OptinMonster, Popup Maker Pro with WooCommerce coupons, Brevo, or a native email-tool popup)
• SEO and schema (Rank Math vs Yoast)
• Upsell and Cross Sell (Cart, product page)
• Any other plugins required to deliver the scope above

Please provide a full list of plugins with licence and renewal costs before starting.

Deliverables
• Fully styled and functional WooCommerce store on our staging environment
• Documented list of all plugins installed, with licence and renewal information
• Complete 301 redirect map (CSV or plugin config)

Suggested payment milestones

We propose to structure payment around the following milestones, released on review of each deliverable on our staging environment. Please quote your total against this structure; percentages are of your total bid.

1. Product page — 15%. Product page template built in Blocksy to the mockup, styled to brand, including the conditional COA panel. Released when the live staging page matches the mockup on review.
2. Styling and remaining pages — 30%. Global theme styling to match our Shopify store and the build of homepage, shop and category, cart, checkout, account, contact, and policy pages. Released when all pages are live on staging, styled consistently, and responsive on mobile.
3. Functionality — 20%. Email-capture popup with working coupon integration, plus the Judge.me reviews migration. Released when the popup produces a working coupon end to end and reviews show on the correct products with ratings intact.
4. SEO and cutover — 35% (final 15% of this milestone retained). Schema markup, the complete 301 redirect map, staging sign-off, and production cutover. The bulk is released on a successful cutover with redirects verified resolving and schema validating; the retained portion is released after the 14-day post-launch defects period closes with nothing outstanding.

Timeline
Delivery to staging within 1 to 2 weeks of project start. Includes a 14-day post-launch defects and bug-fix period.
Skills required

WooCommerce, Blocksy Pro, CSS, basic PHP, Judge.me migration experience, and SEO migration experience including redirect mapping.

How to bid
To help us shortlist quickly, please include in your proposal:
• Confirmation that you will build in Blocksy Pro (not Elementor) on our staging environment
• Your approach to preserving SEO through the migration, specifically how you will handle the 301 redirect mapping for all existing Shopify URLs
• Relevant examples of WooCommerce migrations or Judge.me migrations you have done
• Your recommended plugins for the popup and for SEO/schema
• Your total price and a rough timeline against the milestone structure above
