Opencart to WooCommerce Migration
Budget: €50 – €150 EUR
I’m ready to move my entire store from Opencart to WooCommerce and need a specialist who can handle both the technical migration and the strategic decisions that follow.
The core of the job is a clean, loss-free transfer of:
• Products and their categories
• All customer accounts and saved details
• Complete order history, including statuses and timestamps
Once the data is safely in WordPress/WooCommerce, I’d like your guidance on design. I’m open to keeping a familiar look or refreshing the layout entirely—show me what will serve my customers best. We can decide together whether to customise a premium theme, build from scratch, or lightly tweak a starter theme such as Storefront or Astra.
I’m also unsure which additional features would genuinely benefit sales and usability. After reviewing the migrated site, I’ll rely on your advice about plugins or custom code for things like payment gateways, shipping logic, reporting, or performance boosts.
Acceptance criteria:
• All products, customers, and orders match their Opencart counterparts one-to-one in WooCommerce.
• URLs, images, stock levels, and SEO meta data remain intact or are correctly redirected.
• The new site loads without errors, processes a test purchase end-to-end, and feels consistent across mobile and desktop.
If you have proven experience with OpenCart export, WooCommerce import, WP-CLI, and database troubleshooting, I’d love to hear how you’d approach the migration, the tools you’d use, and a realistic timeline to get it live.
