Migrate WooCommerce Theme: Porto to Kadence

Job ID: 40178704

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Project: WooCommerce Theme Migration (Porto → Kadence)

We are looking for an experienced WordPress / WooCommerce developer to help us migrate our current store from the Porto theme (WPBakery-based) to Kadence, focusing on performance, stability, and long-term maintainability.

This is not a visual redesign project and not a page-builder-only job. We are specifically looking for someone comfortable working with modern WordPress (blocks, hooks, clean templates) rather than heavy builders.

Current setup

WordPress + WooCommerce

Porto theme + WPBakery

catalog (+10,000 products)

Active SEO and paid traffic (Google / Meta Ads)

Scope of work (initial phase)

Migrate Home page to Kadence

Migrate / rebuild Single Product template in Kadence

Maintain existing URLs, SEO structure, and tracking

Improve frontend performance (reduce unnecessary scripts/assets)

Use Gutenberg / Kadence Blocks, not WPBakery or Elementor

Categories, checkout, and full site redesign are out of scope for this phase.

What we expect from you

Strong experience with WooCommerce internals

Comfortable using hooks, filters, and custom templates

Experience optimizing performance (Core Web Vitals is a plus)

Clear communication and ability to explain technical trade-offs

Ability to build a setup that allows content editing without breaking structure

What we are NOT looking for

Pure page builders / drag-and-drop designers

WPBakery- or Elementor-only workflows

Heavy visual redesign proposals

One-click “theme replacement” approaches

Deliverables

New Home page built with Kadence

New Single Product template tested and validated

Performance comparison (before / after)

Clean, documented implementation

Please include in your proposal

Relevant WooCommerce projects (especially Kadence or block-based builds)

Your approach to migrating from a builder-heavy theme to a block-based one

How you would minimize risk on a live store

If this fits your profile, we’d be happy to discuss next steps.
