Migrate to Headless WooCommerce Backend

Job ID: 40463078

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

My store currently runs on a fully custom Next.js front-end with a hand-rolled admin panel. The storefront works fine, yet managing content has become the main pain point—simple product updates, inventory tracking, and even order processing all take too many clicks and patches.

I now want to swap the bespoke backend for a clean headless WooCommerce setup while keeping the existing Next.js UI intact. The goal is to regain a straightforward, user-friendly interface and tap into WooCommerce’s built-in analytics without disturbing the live shopping experience.

Scope of work
• Install and configure WooCommerce (headless) on a fresh WordPress instance.
• Migrate all current products, stock levels, and historical orders.
• Expose REST or GraphQL endpoints so the Next.js site can read/write data in real time.
• Wire up webhooks or polling so that any change made in Woo’s dashboard appears instantly on the front-end—no manual rebuilds.
• Preserve payments, cart, and checkout flows exactly as they are for customers.
• Enable WooCommerce Analytics and confirm all revenue and order metrics are accurate.

Acceptance criteria
1. Products, inventory, and orders match 1:1 after migration.
2. I can edit a product in WooCommerce and see it live on the site within seconds.
3. The admin panel remains easy for non-technical staff; analytics dashboards load correctly.
4. Zero downtime or broken pathways for shoppers.

Please outline your methodology, any preferred plugins (e.g., WPGraphQL, Woo REST API), and give a concise timeline for each phase.
