LATAM E-commerce Site with APIs
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m building a premium, minimalist online store that will sell physical products across Latin America, so every detail has to feel native to Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking shoppers. The storefront should load fast, look clean on any device, and keep the focus squarely on the products.
Key requirements
– Language & currency: the whole journey must switch seamlessly between Spanish and Portuguese, with space for an optional English layer later on.
– Payments: MercadoPago is the priority gateway; please wire it up for one-click checkout, refunds, instalments, and local tax handling. If the architecture makes it simple to add PagSeguro or PayU down the road, even better.
– Tech stack: I’m open to either WooCommerce or Laravel with Filament. The deciding factor is future-proofing—whichever stack will let me extend features quickly and keep costs predictable.
– Automation: the backend needs a well-documented REST or GraphQL layer so my in-house bots can pull orders, sync inventory, and trigger fulfilment rules without manual work.
– Design: think Apple-store minimal—lots of white space, high-resolution imagery, clear typography, and no visual clutter.
Deliverables (done & test-ready)
• Responsive storefront in Spanish and Portuguese
• MercadoPago fully integrated in sandbox and live modes
• API endpoints or webhooks for orders, customers, inventory, and shipping status
• Admin panel with role permissions, basic analytics, and translation management
• Source code in a private repo plus setup instructions for staging and production
Acceptance will be based on:
1. Successful checkout in both languages using a real MercadoPago test card
2. API returns correct JSON for at least 50 sample transactions
3. PageSpeed Insights mobile score ≥90 on the home page and a product page
4. No critical or high-severity issues in a standard OWASP scan
I’m ready to move as soon as we agree on the stack and timeline.
