WordPress Multisite Setup
We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer (or agency) to restructure our existing site into a WordPress Multisite with subfolders to support multiple countries.
The initial rollout will focus on:
Australia, US, and UK subfolders
Free version only (educational content, blogs, tools)
A single paid upgrade in the Australian site: purchase of a digital contract/loan agreement template via Stripe (AU account)
This is Phase 1 of a larger global expansion project. We want the foundation to be scalable for future features (subscriptions, local Stripe accounts, additional markets).
Scope of Work
1. Multisite Setup
Convert current WordPress site to Multisite (subfolder mode).
Create /au/, /us/, and /uk/ subsites.
Migrate existing site into /au/.
Apply 301 redirects from old URLs → /au/.
2. Content & Blog Structure
Hybrid blog model:
Global content syndicated across all subsites.
Local content unique to each market (AU, US, UK).
Migrate existing blog → /au/blog/.
3. Free Version (Phase 1)
AU/US/UK country pages live with educational content, tools, and blog.
Landing pages for legal contracts in each country (but only AU has paid option enabled).
4. Paid Upgrade (AU Only)
Add Stripe integration (AU Stripe account).
One-off payment for digital contract template.
Flow:
Customer buys via Stripe checkout.
Redirect to thank-you/download page with contract file (PDF/Word).
US and UK subsites: placeholders only (“Coming soon”).
5. SEO & Localisation
Configure hreflang tags for AU/US/UK.
Submit each subsite to Google Search Console.
Ensure localised currency, spelling, and market references.
6. UX & Navigation
Country selector dropdown in header/footer.
Optional: IP/browser detection to suggest correct country (do not auto-redirect).
7. Deliverables
Fully working Multisite (/au/, /us/, /uk/).
Migration + redirects for AU.
Blogs (global + local separation).
Stripe AU integration (AU one-off contract purchase).
Country selector.
SEO setup (hreflang, GSC, sitemap).
Documentation for content/admin team.
Future Scope (Not in Phase 1, but foundation must support)
Local Stripe accounts for US/UK.
Subscription or membership-based paid features.
Expansion into new markets (/ca/, /nz/, etc.).
