We are looking for a skilled WooCommerce developer and frontend designer to replicate the design and functionality of the Shopify Electro Skatewear preset into a fully functional custom WooCommerce theme or child theme for our WordPress store.

The Electro Skatewear theme has an energetic, youthful, and detailed design built for street clothing and sports brands. We need the same look, feel, and feature set, rebuilt natively in WooCommerce and WordPress.

Scope of Work

1. Visual Design and Layout

Recreate the full visual identity of the Electro Skatewear preset, including a dark, bold, streetwear-inspired color palette and typography, a full-width hero slideshow or banner section on the homepage, lookbook-style image sections, editorial layout blocks, promo tiles, promo banners, in-menu promotions, image hotspots with clickable product tags on lifestyle images, image rollover and image zoom on product cards, animated sections based on scroll or hover effects, and high-resolution image support throughout the site.

2. Cart and Checkout Features

Develop a slide-out or drawer cart powered by Ajax, a sticky cart button on product pages, a quick buy button on product listing cards, a cart notes field, and in-store pickup option integration.

3. Marketing and Conversion Tools

Include a countdown timer widget for sales or product drops, promo popups for email capture or announcements, an announcement bar at the top of the page, cross-selling and upsell products in the cart, product badges such as New, Sale, and Sold Out, a stock counter such as Only 3 left, a trust badges section, an FAQ page template, a customizable contact form, a blog section on the homepage with a dedicated blog template, and a recommended products section.

4. Merchandising Features

Add color swatches on product cards and product pages, product tabs such as Description, Size Guide, Shipping, and Reviews, support for product videos, image galleries on product pages with multiple images and zoom, shipping and delivery information displayed on the product page, and a usage information block on the product page.

5. Product Discovery and Navigation

Create a mega menu with image and promo support, a sticky header that remains visible on scroll, enhanced predictive or live search with images, product filtering and sorting on collection and shop pages, swatch filters in the sidebar or toolbar, breadcrumbs navigation, collection page navigation with category tabs or sidebar, recommended products on product pages, and a back-to-top button.

6. Localization

The theme must support EU translations in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish, or be fully compatible with WPML or Polylang.

7. Responsive Design and Performance

The theme must be fully mobile responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile. It must also provide fast page loading with optimized images, lazy loading, and minified assets, while following WooCommerce best practices for performance and theme compatibility.

Technical Requirements

Platform: WordPress and WooCommerce, latest stable versions

Theme Type: Custom theme or well-structured child theme

Page Builder: Elementor or Gutenberg blocks preferred, or custom PHP and CSS

Code Quality: Clean, commented, standards-compliant HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

Plugins: Minimize reliance on heavy plugins, use native WooCommerce hooks where possible, and ensure compatibility with our current setup

Browser Support: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, latest two versions

Deliverables: Full theme files and documentation for setup and customization

Please review this environment carefully before quoting. We do not want unnecessary plugin conflicts, duplicated functionality, or a rebuild that ignores tools already active on the store.

Ideal Candidate

At least 2 years of WooCommerce and WordPress theme development experience

Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3 or SCSS, and JavaScript or jQuery

Experience replicating or cloning existing designs into WordPress

Strong attention to detail with pixel-accurate implementation

Good knowledge of WooCommerce hooks, filters, and template overrides

Ability to work with an existing live WooCommerce setup and plugin ecosystem without breaking current functionality

Portfolio showing similar streetwear, fashion, or sports store projects

Timeline and Budget

Estimated timeline: 3 to 6 weeks, negotiable depending on scope

Budget: Open to proposals, please provide a detailed breakdown

Engagement type: Freelance or contract, project-based

Communication: Weekly progress updates and shared staging environment

We want identical visual design and feature parity, rebuilt natively in WooCommerce and WordPress.

Payment Terms

Payment will be split into 4 milestone payments based on the project steps we agree on.

Milestones will be released only after the agreed work has been installed and fully tested.

This condition is not negotiable.

If you are interested, include in your proposal how you will handle compatibility with the existing plugin stack and how much of the required functionality will be developed natively versus supported by the plugins already installed.
