E-Commerce Farm Traceability Site
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I am building an e-commerce site that not only sells our farm products online but also lets customers trace every item back to its source. Each product will carry a basic QR code; when it is scanned, the page must display dynamic details about the specific batch and the farmer who grew it.
Core requirements
• Full online shop: product catalogue, cart, checkout, payment gateway integration and an easy-to-use admin for price, stock and order management.
• Farmer profiles as the heart of the informational section. Every farmer needs an individual page with photo, bio, location and a live feed of the batches they have supplied.
• Dynamic traceability: the QR leads to a unique URL that pulls real-time batch data (harvest date, lot number, certification notes) and automatically shows the corresponding farmer page.
Tech notes
I am open on stack choice—WordPress + WooCommerce, Shopify, or a custom Laravel / React build—as long as the QR-driven routing and data linking stay lightweight and future-proof. Mobile-first design is important.
Acceptance criteria
1. Visitors can browse, add to cart and complete payment without friction.
2. Scanning any product’s QR code displays correct farmer and batch details with no login required.
3. Admin dashboard allows me to add new farmers, batches and products in one place and have the QR links update automatically.
If you have delivered similar traceability or agri-commerce projects, I would love to see them and discuss the most efficient roadmap.
