Build WooCommerce E-Commerce Site

Job ID: 40405358

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m ready to launch a full-featured online store and I need an experienced WordPress developer who knows WooCommerce inside out to bring it to life. The site’s core focus is e-commerce, so every design and technical decision should revolve around a smooth buying journey.

Platform & stack
I have chosen WordPress with WooCommerce, so you should be comfortable configuring WooCommerce, tweaking themes (child themes preferred), and extending functionality through well-maintained plugins or custom code when necessary. Familiarity with PHP, HTML5/CSS3, and responsive frameworks is essential so the store looks sharp on mobile and desktop.

Key features to implement
• Product reviews that appear seamlessly on each product page, complete with star ratings and moderation controls.
• A straightforward customer account system that lets shoppers register, view orders, and manage addresses from a clean dashboard.

While payment gateway integration isn’t on my immediate checklist, I want the codebase to remain flexible enough to add Stripe or PayPal later without major refactoring.

Design & UX
I have brand colours and typography ready. You’ll translate those into a modern, fast theme—preferably using a lightweight builder such as Elementor or native Gutenberg blocks—optimised for performance (90+ on Google PageSpeed) and accessibility.

Scope of work & deliverables
1. Set up WordPress and WooCommerce on my hosting environment.
2. Configure core settings: currency, tax, shipping zones, and email templates.
3. Implement the review and customer account features, ensuring GDPR-compliant data handling.
4. Build three page templates (home, category, product) with my branding.
5. Launch-ready testing: browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, security hardening, and backup configuration.
6. A short hand-over guide or recorded walkthrough so I can add products myself.

Acceptance criteria
• Store loads in under 2 seconds on GTmetrix.
• Reviews can be enabled/disabled per product and are fully moderated.
• New customers can register, log in, and see past orders without admin intervention.
• No console errors and all pages pass the WooCommerce status report.

Timeline is flexible but I’d like to see a first working draft within two weeks. Let’s discuss any questions you have and get started.
