API Integration for Deposit Authorization

Title: WordPress / API Developer – Hotel Deposit Authorization System + Hostex Integration

Project Description

I operate a small hotel / short-term rental business and use Hostex PMS to manage reservations. I need a developer to build a security deposit authorization system connected to my WordPress website.

Guests should receive a secure link before arrival where they can enter their credit card to place a security deposit authorization hold (not a charge).

Current Infrastructure

• VPS server (Ubuntu)
• Docker environment
• CloudPanel
• WordPress website
• WooCommerce
• Hostex PMS
• Payment gateway: Xendit
• n8n automation server

The developer can deploy services using Docker containers if needed.

Deposit Workflow

1. Guest makes a reservation in Hostex
2. X days before arrival, guest automatically receives a secure deposit authorization link
3. Guest enters credit card information
4. System places a credit card authorization hold (not a charge)
5. Authorization ID is stored and linked to the reservation
6. System adds tags and notes to the reservation in Hostex

Deposit Management

I need a simple interface where I can easily:

• view active authorization holds
• capture a hold if there are damages or minibar charges
• release the hold manually if needed

Automatic Release

If no action is taken, the system must automatically release the authorization hold 2 days after guest checkout.

Example Workflow

Guest books room
↓
System sends deposit authorization link X days before arrival
↓
Guest enters credit card
↓
Authorization hold created
↓
Authorization linked to reservation
↓
After checkout system automatically releases hold after 2 days unless captured
