Dynamic Content Site Project
Background
Starboard Corp wants to extend our web presence by adding a dynamic, content management system, whereby Starboard employees can author new and maintain existing article-based content. The content will be aggregated into a “Buzz” page that will be described in detail below.
Technology
Starboard has chosen to use the WIX.com web creation and publication system for this dynamic content system. Starboard recognizes that a content management plugin may be required for WIX to provide the desired behavior. All responses to this RFQ must identify and recommend any required plugins to achieve the desired behavior.
Usage Requirements
Starboard Corp will require the ability to author new and edit existing article-based content. Articles shall not be visible to non-Starboard users until such article is published.
Each article shall have the ability to have 1 or more “tags”, assigned by the author of the article. The primary tag defines the “category” of the article and will be one of the following:
• Press Release (PR)
• In the Press (NEWS)
• Product Release (RELEASE)
• Knowledge Base (KB)
Additional tags may be added by authors that identify specific terms that will be dynamic and not limited to a finite set.
Articles
Articles will be composed of the following items:
• Heading
• Subheading
• Optional “Featured” image
• Optional “Mini Logo” image
o Optional “Mini Logo” background color attribute
• Body (stylized HTML that includes links and images)
• Tags
• Publication date
• “Featured” flag
