High-Volume Wix Photo Gallery
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I run two small Wix sites that do nothing more than show off thousands of pictures of my pets. Right now each site holds only a token handful because the native Wix builder chokes on bulk uploads and gallery rendering once you get past a few hundred files—let alone the ±10 000 images (several GB) I actually have waiting.
I would like someone who knows Wix inside-out (Velo, custom elements, external media storage, dynamic datasets—whatever gets the job done) to replace the current galleries with something that can:
• ingest and display the full archive without manual one-by-one uploads
• load quickly through lazy-loading or infinite scroll so visitors can just keep scrolling
• shuffle the image order on every visit for a fresh, random experience
Keeping my existing Wix URLs is important to me, so I’d strongly prefer to stay on the platform. If you know of a painless way to stay under the Wix umbrella yet push heavy files through an external CDN or S3 bucket, I’m open to hearing it; migrating to WordPress, Squarespace, or a custom stack is only a last resort.
Please tell me how you’d tackle bulk import, storage, and the randomised gallery logic, and what sort of turnaround you’d need. Once built, I should be able to drop new photos into a folder (or spreadsheet, or CMS collection) and have them appear automatically with no extra fiddling.
If you have live examples of high-volume photo libraries you’ve implemented on Wix, that will help me choose quickly.
