secure Guest WI-FI Deployment Design and Configuration

Job ID: 40435135

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m putting together a new wireless network that anyone on-site can use, and I need an expert who can take the project from blank slate to a rock-solid, secure deployment. The goal is simple: reliable, public-access Wi-Fi that keeps casual users happy while protecting the backbone of the rest of the infrastructure.

Here’s what I have and what I’ll rely on you for:

• Survey the location (or work from my floor plans and photos) to determine optimal access-point placement.
• Recommend hardware—access points, switches, controller (software or hardware), and any needed firewalls or gateways—to balance cost, coverage, and future growth.
• Configure SSIDs, VLANs, captive portal or splash page, bandwidth limits, and content filtering so guests get seamless access without compromising security.
• Apply best-practice wireless security: WPA3 or equivalent encryption, rogue-AP detection, proper isolation of guest traffic, and central logging.
• Provide concise documentation: network diagram, IP scheme, configuration backups, and a quick-start guide my onsite staff can follow if an access point ever needs a reset.
• Offer a short hand-over session (remote is fine) to walk through the setup and answer lingering questions.

If you’re comfortable with UniFi, Aruba Instant, Cisco Meraki, MikroTik, or similar platforms, let me know which you’d lean toward and why. Experience tuning channel plans, mitigating interference, and handling large numbers of concurrent users will be a big plus.

Timeline is flexible but I’d like to get the design finalized soon so hardware can be ordered. Let’s talk through your approach and any details you need to quote accurately.
