IoT soil monitoring system
Budget: £10 – £15 GBP
The request is about a distributed IoT soil monitoring system (please see the image attached to the project). The system should consist of two kinds of devices: “node” and “weather station”, both devised for outdoor installation. Overview We are asking for the design and development of both the hardware and software according to the following requirements: The “node” device will take data from a sensor list and it will stream video (with infrared camera) and then play music (sound speakers and amplifier). It will have wifi to communicate with a router. The device will be able to start and end irrigation through an electro valve thanks to an API (with the info about the time of irrigation). The power supply connected to the device will be backed by a solar panel and a battery. It is essential to estimate the daily consumption of all devices, bearing in mind that we plan 3 hours of video streaming, 1 hour of playing music and 24 hours of updated data by sensors. So, we need to know the kind of solar panel and the size of the battery to ensure that the device never switches off unexpectedly. In the network, there will be many devices, so it's important that these should have an identifier when they send data. Thanks for your time.
