Radio Control For 18-foot sailboat
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
This project is intended for the research and development part of the original project for an 18-foot autonomous sailboat. This is a company doing ongoing development of autonomous ocean vehicles, and could lead to a permanent job in Hawaii within the first year.
We are outfitting an 18-foot sailboat with remote control receiver to control 'synchronous motor steering and sail trim actuators, and want to use off-the-shelf hardware as much as possible. Basically we need a design and equipment specifications for components that will do the job, from an experienced person. We have an electronics engineer and a mechanical engineer on staff to assemble it and tune it.
