Build me wireframes! For a word processing web app that tracks my fiction writing progress vs. my story outline.
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My Problem: I write a great deal of short-to-novella-length fiction, and adhere strictly to a detailed plot framework I made. This plot framework makes a fantastic story -- but the framework's spreadsheet is so cumbersome to use! I'm constantly doing word-count checks, seeing where I am in the story vs. where my framework says I should be, and if I skip around in my story it's incredibly hard to keep track of where events/scenes are.
My Solution: I have drawn up an idea for an in-browser word processing app that keeps track of my current progress vs. my story framework for me. The main feature would be a sidebar with vertical progress bars, using my current wordcount to tell me exactly where I am vs. my framework outline.
The PowerPoint presentation I attach does a more thorough job of explaining things. It includes the framework I'm referring to, a long-winded explanation of how this app should function, and a bad mock-up of the layout I basically want -- but as you will see, a designer's touch is needed.
Fair warning: the framework spreadsheet itself is a bit tedious, so the progress bars are also going to be a bit tedious (again, see the PowerPoint).
I am willing to pay well for quality work, especially work that will make life easy for the eventual developer.
What I want from you: I need a good-looking wireframe for this app, which I will then hand off to a web dev type person. I'd love to chat on Zoom about it, if there's any lack of clarity.
