Script to Rename Windows Folders and Move Data

This is a two phase project:

Phase 1:

I need to have a script designed to rename Windows Folders.

The folders are currently in the following format:

LASTNAME.FIRSTNAME~~

I need to rename them to the following:

LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME-XXXXXX (XXXXXX = a specific ID)

The specific ID's will be provided in an excel spreadsheet correlating to the current named folder.

I will need to have the script tested on a subset of the data folders prior to running on all the folders.


Phase 2:

We need to move all files/subfolders from the folders that are NOT documents, images, pdfs, etc. The same folder structure will need to be met.
