Mass Printer Migration & Shortcuts -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m looking for help moving a fleet of 10+ network-connected printers to their new locations on our Windows desktops and then placing an easy-to-spot desktop shortcut for each device on every machine.
The printers are already on the network, so the job is largely about re-mapping them in Windows, confirming they appear correctly in Devices & Printers, and pushing a shortcut (or script that drops one) to the user’s desktop. GPO, PowerShell, or any other standard Windows management tool is fine—as long as the result is a seamless cut-over with zero disruption for end users.
Deliverables
• All printers migrated and visible in Windows on every workstation
• Functional desktop shortcut for each printer, verified with a test print
• A simple rollback or re-deployment script for future use
If you’ve handled large printer moves inside Windows environments before, this will be straightforward. I can provide remote access and admin credentials as soon as we agree on timing.
