Development of a Windows Virtual Printer Application

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Windows system programmer to develop a Windows application that creates a virtual printer to intercept, parse, and transmit print data to a server.

Responsibilities:

Create a Virtual Printer: Develop a virtual printer driver on Windows using the Windows Driver Kit (WDK) and the .NET Framework. Experience with system programming and understanding of printer drivers is a must.

Intercept Print Data: Write a service or daemon that will intercept print data sent to the virtual printer. The print data could be in a printer control language like PCL or PostScript, or possibly a raw format like text or PDF.

Parse and Process Print Data: Parse and process the print data into a format that's suitable for display in a web browser. The format of the print data will dictate the parsing process. The ability to convert raw text or JSON . If the data is in a printer control language, a solution to convert it into a more usable format will be needed.

Send Data to the Server: After the print data has been processed, send it to a server using an HTTP POST request. The application should have a user interface to allow the user to enter the server backend link.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Windows system programming
Experience with Windows Driver Kit (WDK) and .NET Framework
Strong knowledge of printer control languages like PCL or PostScript
Ability to parse and process complex data formats
Experience with HTTP POST requests and server communication
Good problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
