Desktop/laptop app for remote task

I am looking for an experienced developer to create a desktop and laptop application that is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. I have a design/brand already agreed upon, but if need be, the developer can help me develop one as well. Furthermore, this application will require an internet connection at times. The successful applicant will need to have experience developing and deploying desktop apps across Windows and Mac. In addition, the selected developer should have a good understanding of software development best practices.
