Windows 10 Company Computer - Can't Reset Login PIN
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a problem with my Windows 10 computer in that I cannot use my PIN, either because it is wrong, or some other problem. It is “Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise” and the full version is “10.0.19042 Build 19042”. When I go to try and reset it, it takes me into a nasty catch-22 loop. Initially, I figure I must have the wrong PIN, so I go to Account-Sign In Options. The Windows screen says “Windows Hello PIN. This option is currently unavailable. Click to learn more”. When I click to learn more, it says “Sorry, this PIN isn’t working for your organization’s resources. Tap or click here to fix it”. But, when I follow the bouncing ball, it takes me through the normal process, which makes it look like it’s going to work:
1) Microsoft prompts for “Email or phone”.
2) It then takes me to “Your organization’s sign-in page”.
3) It then calls my phone for verification.
4) After I verify with my phone it asks me for my PIN!!! A true loop!!!
I've attached screen shots in numbered order so you can follow along in this frustrating process.
Please help, as my IT department are clueless and very non-responsive. I can set up a Zoom call if you'd like to see first hand
