Powershell cron jobs implement

I have a powershell script to backup and clean old files. This needs to run everyday using job scheduler. I have one more script creating folders. I need a notification via email in case this other job fails or is not performed on a day(can check date modified of folder created). If you can do this let's connect on screen share and do it with your help.
