WHMCS Addon Upgrade to PHP8
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a WHMCS addon that was first written for PHP 5.6 and later updated to 7.4. The next step is a clean, fully-functional migration to PHP 8.
The goal is a straight conversion—no feature expansion—yet I would still like modern PHP 8 language features (typed properties, union types, match expressions where sensible) integrated to improve clarity and future maintenance. All existing behaviour must remain unchanged for WHMCS users.
After the refactor I need both unit and manual testing:
• A repeatable PHPUnit suite that covers the public API of the addon
• A short checklist confirming manual verification inside a WHMCS 8.x test installation (activation, settings save, core actions)
Please deliver the upgraded source code, the test suite, and a brief test report summarizing environment, steps taken, and results.
I have the original PHP5.6 code, if you would like to start there, as well as the PHP7.4 code already installed on the server. If you can't decode the files, I will decode them for you.
