Temporary / Freelance Skilled Trades Recruiter – Welding (Fabrication Shop)

We are seeking an experienced freelance recruiter to help us quickly fill multiple welder positions within our fabrication shop. This is a short-term, high-impact assignment focused on speed, quality, and skilled trades expertise.

What You’ll Be Recruiting For

Structural steel fabrication welders
Welding processes: Fluxcore (FCAW)
Position: Vertical uphill – 3G
1st Shift: 6:00am – 4:30pm (Monday–Thursday)
2nd Shift: 4:00pm – 2:30am (Monday–Thursday)
Hiring within the Avon, Indiana (West side of Indianapolis) area

What We’re Looking For in a Recruiter

Proven experience with high-volume skilled trades recruiting
Strong background recruiting fabrication and welding talent
Familiarity with structural steel welding environments
Ability to source, screen, and deliver qualified, shop-ready welders quickly
Existing pipelines, networks, or sourcing strategies for welders is a major plus
Comfortable working independently and moving fast with minimal ramp-up

Key Responsibilities

Source and attract qualified welders in the targeted region
Pre-screen candidates for welding experience, shift availability, and reliability
Coordinate candidate flow to support rapid hiring needs
Maintain consistent communication and status updates
