Pipe Welder with Firefighting Expertise
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m looking for a single skilled professional who can move seamlessly between pipe welding and front-line fire suppression on an industrial site we’re commissioning. Your primary task is day-to-day pipe welding—cutting, fitting and laying full-penetration welds on steel lines that will feed our firefighting water network. Formal welding tickets are welcome, but I don’t require specific certifications as long as you can demonstrate reliable workmanship and meet pressure-test standards.
Because all welding will be conducted around combustible materials, I also need you ready to act as the on-scene firefighter. Solid, current fire suppression techniques are essential; you’ll maintain a constant fire watch and, if an ignition occurs, be the first to knock it down until the plant brigade arrives.
Equipment—MIG/TIG machines, cutting torches, SCBA and dry-chem extinguishers—is on site. Bring your own PPE and basic hand tools. The initial contract covers four consecutive 10-hour shifts, with extension possible as more pipe runs are scheduled.
Deliverables
• Weld and pressure-test roughly 40 m of 4-inch schedule 40 pipe
• Maintain continuous fire watch during all hot work and document suppression readiness each shift
• Submit a concise daily log with weld numbers, test results and any fire incidents or near misses
Acceptance criteria
• All welds pass a 100 psi hydrostatic test with zero leaks
• Fire watch checklist fully completed daily
• Incident response time under two minutes in any drill
