Part-Time Workshop Fabricator

Job ID: 40219530

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

A small, busy metal-fabrication shop needs an extra pair of skilled hands on the floor one day a week (with a paid trial first). The work is entirely hands-on and best suits someone already confident with the core processes below:

• Laser cutting operations – loading programs, setting parameters and running production
• Folding / press-brake work – setting up tooling, checking angles, adjusting back-gauges
• General metal-fabrication support – cutting lengths on the saw, orbital finishing, pickling and light maintenance of machines and workspace

The day is physical, so safe manual handling and familiarity with workshop H&S standards are essential. Own PPE is preferred; at minimum you’ll know exactly what you need to bring.

Engagement setup
• Self-employed or Ltd only – you invoice us each month; there is no payroll or PAYE
• Roughly one day per week, scheduling is flexible and will be agreed in advance
• Day rate to be agreed prior to the trial period

Next steps
When you respond, include:
1. Your day rate (net) for a single eight-hour day
2. Your typical availability (preferred weekdays / notice required)
3. A brief confirmation that you trade as self-employed or a registered Ltd company

If you’re already comfortable with laser cutting, press-brake work and general fabrication, I’m keen to get you in for a paid trial shift and see how we fit.
