Clone Existing Weebly Site Into a New Weebly Account (Keep Current Domain)
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Objective
Rebuild and migrate our existing Weebly website into a brand-new Weebly account that I own, preserving the current look, structure, and domain.
Current Site
https://www.projectathena.org/
~25 pages (estimate). Please review the site to validate page count and scope.
Why
I currently have editor access to the site but do not own the Weebly account. I need full account ownership going forward.
Scope of Work
Rebuild/Clone the site inside a new Weebly account that I will create and own.
Replicate layout, navigation, content, images, forms, and basic styling to closely match the current site.
Build on a temporary domain inside the new account for review/QA.
After approval, switch the original domain (projectathena.org) to the new Weebly site and ensure SSL is active.
Access Provided
Editor access to the existing Weebly site (not the account owner).
Full access to the new Weebly account (account owner).
DNS/domain access for the cutover (as needed).
Deliverables / Acceptance Checklist
All pages cloned (≈25; confirm exact count) and navigable.
All internal links, menus, and buttons working.
Forms/contact submissions route to the same destinations as the current site.
Basic SEO carries over (page titles, meta descriptions, alt tags, URL slugs where feasible).
Mobile responsiveness verified.
404 and favicon set.
QA pass: link check + spot check of images and downloads.
Domain cutover completed with minimal downtime and working SSL.
Nice to Have (Optional—call out in your bid)
301 redirects if any URLs must change.
Google Analytics/Search Console verification on the new site.
A brief handoff note on where key settings live in the new account.
What to Include in Your Proposal
Examples of Weebly sites you’ve built or migrated (cross-account experience is a plus).
Confirmation you understand Weebly’s limitations (no true export/import; manual rebuild as needed).
Your estimated timeline and fixed price for ~25 pages, plus your per-page rate for any overage.
Any assumptions or exclusions we should know about.
Process
I create the new Weebly account.
I grant you editor access to the current site and full access to the new account.
You rebuild on a temporary domain in the new account.
We review/QA.
You point the original domain to the new site and finalize SSL.
