Update WordPress PHP & Plugins
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
My WordPress site is already on the latest WP core, but the server is still running PHP 7.4. I need the codebase moved up to PHP 8.3 and all plugins brought current without breaking anything.
I’ll create a full back up within the next 24 hours; once that snapshot is ready you can start. Because I’m unsure which plugins are truly mission-critical, I’d like you to review what’s installed, flag any that might fail under PHP 8.3, and recommend replacements or patches where necessary.
After the upgrade I want every page of the site clicked through and visually checked so we’re certain no templates, shortcodes, or custom functions have been disrupted.
Deliverables
• Audit of existing plugins with a risk/compatibility note for each
• Safe upgrade from PHP 7.4 → 8.3 on the live server (or staging, then push)
• All plugins updated or replaced with stable alternatives
• Post-upgrade review confirming every page renders and functions correctly
• Brief hand-off report summarizing changes, issues found, and fixes applied
If you’ve handled similar PHP jumps and plugin conflicts before, I’d love to hear how you approach testing and rollback.
