Part-time Payroll Clerk
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Position Overview
We are looking for a part-time payroll clerk who is a “go-getter,” detail-oriented, entrepreneurial at heart, and interested in working with small businesses. The job is done remotely, however, the initial training is in-person/in the office.
Organizational Responsibilities:
1. A “team player” willing to accept the challenges and opportunities of a growing small public accounting business
2. Ability to effectively communicate internally within the company and with clients
3. Ability to listen closely, assess, offer input and suggestions both internally and to clients
4. Experience giving and receiving constructive criticism
5. Ability to navigate/thrive in a dynamic and changing organization.

1. Set-up payroll systems for incoming clients
2. Responsible for processing payroll for clients
3. Serve as HR contact to clients and provide guidance for clients (handle new hire data input, make changes to employee files, etc.)
4. Become proficient in multiple payroll software (Gusto & ADP)
5. Assist client in calculating timecards per pay period
6. Prepare and file periodic client payroll reports.
The part-time Payroll Clerk will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The Payroll Clerk handles payroll set-ups, process payrolls, serve as Payroll Administrator to clients on an ongoing basis. Payroll processing is extremely time-sensitive. The Payroll Clerk must stay on task, meet deadlines, and effectively communicate with management.
