A GitHub Fortune 500 open source project will be divided into 10,000 tokens by a software promoter and programmers must work for tokens and a small amount of cash, if available. Programmers save the tokens as an investment, sell them through a broker,sell them back to the promoter,or use them as collateral for a loan from an offshore bank. At first the tokens are worth less than a dollar but may rise in value to as much as $100 at the end of the project. The promoter saves his tokens for an investment or sells them to investors. The rights to the completed software is owned by token holders and is sold to a Fortune 500 company.
