We are looking for a highly organized and proactive project manager to oversee the publishing and marketing of sheet music arrangements for wind instruments.
Our website MasterpieceMusic.org already has about 150 pieces for flute uploaded.
The budget for this whole project is tiny – only $500 AUD per month.
Up to $100 AUD would be for the Project Director salary and the remainder would be for all the developers, musicians, arrangers, editors, and proofreaders.
The role is part-time (2-3 hours per week) and fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with arrangers, editors, and proofreaders to produce high-quality sheet music.
Oversee uploads to websites like MasterpieceMusic.org (ours), SheetMusicPlus.com, and ArrangeMe.com.
Manage basic website tasks.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns, including YouTube video coordination and email outreach.
Hire musicians to create videos of them performing the pieces. The videos need to appear on Youtube and on the page that is dedicated to the sheet music.
Track project timelines, budgets, and milestones.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in project management, preferably in music, publishing, or marketing.
Familiarity with sheet music formats and platforms is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Basic understanding of marketing tools (e.g., email campaigns, YouTube, Facebook, SEO).
Compensation: $15-20 AUD/per hour, depending on experience and availability.
How to Apply:
Upload your resume, a brief cover letter, and examples of relevant work (if available) to this site.
At the BEGINNING of your application, please answer the following questions:
Are you comfortable working with the Freelancer.com time-tracking software? If not,is there a free alternative that you recommend, and why?
Do you play, or have you ever played a musical instrument? If so, which one and for how long?
There will be many applications for this job, and I will be asking several rounds of questions.
Several of you will be ideal for the job, but unfortunately I can only hire one person.
If you are not successful, thank you for your time. I wish you better luck in your next application.
