Monthly WordPress Theme Maintenance
Budget: $2 – $8 AUD
My WordPress site needs a steady, no-drama routine: once a month the active theme (and any installed child themes) must be brought up to the latest stable version. Before the update I expect a full backup; after the update I need a quick front-end sweep to confirm that layouts, menus, and critical plugins still behave exactly as they should.
Here’s what I’ll be checking off every month:
• Secure backup of files + database
• Theme update via dashboard or FTP, whichever is safer for that release
• Visual and functional spot-check on the live site
• Short report summarising version numbers, steps taken, and any issues found or resolved
No content changes or plugin work are necessary—this task is strictly about keeping the themes current and the site stable. If something ever breaks, a clean rollback from the backup should be part of the safety net.
Please be comfortable with standard WordPress tools, cPanel (or similar), and simple troubleshooting so I can rely on you for smooth, predictable updates every single month.
