Fix WordPress Critical Error
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
My WordPress site is currently down—the front-end shows the dreaded “There has been a critical error” message, so nothing loads. The priority is to get the website back online by resolving whatever is blocking it (very likely a plugin issue, but I need confirmation). Once the root cause is fixed I also want every plugin, theme, and the core installation updated so the same problem does not re-appear.
Scope of work
• Diagnose why the website is not loading (Functionality update; error appears before any page renders).
• Repair the issue—whether that ends up being a plugin conflict, PHP version mismatch, corrupted file, or database hiccup.
• Safely update all plugins, verify compatibility, and confirm that key areas such as checkout, user login, and the search bar still work after updates.
• Provide a short hand-over note summarising what you found, the fixes applied, and any further recommendations.
I can supply FTP, cPanel, and WordPress admin credentials as soon as we start. Please have solid experience with WordPress debugging tools, error-log analysis, and staging environments so we can keep downtime to an absolute minimum.
