Our store currently runs an automatic 20 % site-wide promotion. I need that rule adjusted so it no longer fires on the parent Clothing category, yet still applies everywhere else—including the three sub-categories that sit under Clothing: Men’s Clothing, Women’s Clothing and Children’s Clothing.
You’ll get full admin access to the promotion/discount module and a staging copy to test on first. Once the logic works exactly as stated, push it to the live site and supply a brief note explaining where the rule lives and how to toggle it in the future.
Acceptance criteria
• Parent Clothing items ring up at full price.
• Men’s, Women’s and Children’s Clothing—as well as every other category—continue to receive the 20 % markdown.
• No impact on existing taxes, coupons, shipping or reporting.
That’s the entire scope; no theme edits or custom code outside the platform’s normal promotion tools are expected.
