WordPress Site Polish & Maintenance

Job ID: 40556469

Budget: $250 – $750 SGD

Hi, I'm looking for a WordPress expert with an eye for detail.

I've recently launched my new website, cleardogtraining.com, and I'm looking for a reliable WordPress expert to help with the final polishing.

I'm after someone with excellent written English, solid WordPress experience and, most importantly, an exceptional eye for detail. If you're the sort of person who enjoys getting all the little things right and checking your own work before calling it finished, we'll probably work very well together.

For context, I'm a former magazine editor with more than 40 years' editorial experience. Typos, poor formatting and obvious presentation errors jump out at me immediately, so accuracy and consistency are really important.

This project has two parts, followed (hopefully!) by regular ongoing work if we're a good fit.

Initial project

Please provide a fixed-price quote for the work below.

Part 1 – Complete website review and fine-tuning

My website has approximately 15 pages, some with minimal content.

Please carry out a thorough review of the entire website and correct any obvious issues you find and make improvements where needed.

This includes:

* Checking every page on both desktop and mobile.
* Fixing awkward paragraph breaks, line wraps and formatting issues. (There are quite a few throughout the site.)
* Ensuring spacing and layout are consistent throughout.
* Checking that promotional links and buttons are an appropriate size. For example, the links on the home page to our Silver Anniversary page and our special offer on the Fees page could have more visual impact.
* Updating one existing blog with revised copy that I will supply.
* Carrying out a basic on-page SEO review and correcting any obvious issues with page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure and image alt text where appropriate.
* Checking for any broken links, missing images or other obvious usability issues.
* Providing feedback on the current website images and recommending any that you believe should be replaced to improve the overall presentation of the site.

Part 2 – Image replacement

Replace up to 15 website images that I will supply and ensure they are correctly positioned and display well on both desktop and mobile.

Some captions are currently too small and I'm also trying to standardise caption sizes, fonts and the size and font of photo overlay headings.

Essential requirements

One of the main problems with the current site is that some pages look fine on desktop, but when viewed on mobile the articles have strange line returns, awkward paragraph breaks and poor text flow. This is one of my highest priorities.

You must be prepared to go through every article carefully on both desktop and mobile, checking the flow line by line and correcting any awkward returns, paragraph breaks or formatting issues.

Quality control is very important to me. I'm looking for someone who naturally checks their own work carefully before submitting it.

Every edited page should be reviewed on both desktop and mobile to ensure:

* article flow is smooth and professional
* there are no strange or unnecessary line returns
* paragraph breaks are correct and consistent
* formatting is consistent throughout
* headings, spacing and links display correctly
* images are correctly positioned and displayed
* nothing has been accidentally altered or broken during editing

The ideal person will take pride in delivering polished work without needing repeated screenshots or follow-up reminders for obvious formatting issues.

Ongoing work

If we're a good fit, I'd like to establish an ongoing monthly arrangement.

Typical monthly work would include:

* Uploading and formatting up to four new blog posts.
* Creating and publishing one simple new page.
* Making up to four amendments to existing pages.
* Replacing images as required.

Every new page, blog post or amendment should be checked on both desktop and mobile before the work is considered complete. This includes checking article flow, paragraph breaks, formatting, spacing, links, images, consistency and overall presentation.

I'm not looking for the cheapest quote. I'm looking for the right person.

Quality, attention to detail and reliability are far more important to me than simply finding the lowest price. I'm looking for someone who genuinely enjoys producing polished work and can help take this website to the next level.

If your work is thorough, accurate and professionally presented, I'm happy to pay a fair price for it.

Please quote

When applying, please provide:

* A fixed price for the initial project.
* Your hourly rate for future work.
* An estimate of what the ongoing monthly work would cost based on the scope described.

Please quote for the work as described. I don't want the project continually expanding with requests for additional payment beyond the agreed scope. If you believe something falls outside the agreed scope, please discuss it with me before proceeding.

To show that you've actually read this brief and taken a look at the website, please include a brief comment about something you noticed on the site.

It doesn't need to be a detailed review—just mention one thing that stood out to you, whether it's something you liked or something you think could be improved. This tells me you've taken the time to understand the project before submitting a proposal.

Generic copy-and-paste applications that clearly haven't looked at the website will not be considered.

If you're meticulous, communicate well, have excellent written English and genuinely enjoy producing polished work, I'd love to hear from you.
