WordPress Rebuild for Charity Site

Job ID: 40488601

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

Our charity site, www.wect.org.uk, is running on an old, proprietary platform that makes updates cumbersome and limits our growth. I need the entire site reconstructed in WordPress, keeping the existing pages, copy and basic structure largely intact while giving it a fresh, mobile-friendly look.

I’m open to theme suggestions—whether that’s a well-supported premium theme you recommend or a lightweight free option that can be customised easily. Once the build is complete, I want the finished WordPress site migrated to new hosting space (I currently use Namecheap and will supply credentials).

Scope of work
• Copy and assets lifted from the current site and imported into WordPress
• Clean, responsive design implemented and tested across modern browsers
• Core plugins configured for SEO, security and performance (your standard stack is fine—just note what you install)
• Launch on the new server with all links, contact forms and email routing verified

Acceptance criteria
1. All existing pages display correctly on desktop, tablet and mobile.
2. Loading speed meets typical best-practice benchmarks for a small brochure site.
3. WordPress admin is left tidy—with clear page naming and no unused plugins.
4. Domain points to the new server, SSL is active and the site is publicly reachable.

Please outline your recommended approach, the theme you would use or propose creating, and an estimated timeline from kickoff to launch.
